Job Description
Crane operators are responsible for lifting and moving materials around a construction site as safely and efficiently as possible. As a crane driver you’d need to be practically-minded, with an understanding of how to drive and maintain heavy machinery.

Operating cranes to lift, move or place equipment and materials. Inspecting cranes and calculating capacities. Assembling tower cranes on-site. Performing routine crane maintenance such as cleaning and lubricating.
Responsibilities

Operate cranes and hoists
Transfer loads to construction sites and discharge safely
Bind loads to cranes
Inspect equipment and machinery
Keep and update maintenance and activity log
Carry out basic repairs to machines
Set up machinery based on complex manuals
Coordinate with ground operators and interpret hand and verbal signals
Follow safety guidelines and protocols

 Skills

An understanding of how to use and maintain machines and tools.
Good team working skills.
Patience and the ability to remain calm in stressful situations.
Attention to details.
Good spatial awareness.
