Health Care Aide Jobs Winnipeg, We have an opening for a health Care aide to join our growing team. You will be tasked with helping patients with personal hygiene, minor medical needs, housekeeping, and other daily needs as required by the patient. To excel in this role you should have an interest in health care and the ability to work with limited supervision keeping the patient’s needs as your top priority.
Health Care aides assist clients who are unable to care for themselves or perform daily tasks such as cooking, cleaning, dressing, and bathing. They may also perform basic medical services such as checking vital signs. They may provide long-term care or intermittent care.
Health care aides (HCAs) work under the direct or indirect supervision of a regulated health professional, such as a nurse, in a variety of settings including, but not limited to: home care. assisted living facilities and lodges. long-term care and designated supportive living facilities. acute care hospitals.

About Organization
Riverview Health Centre is a community hospital in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada.  the City of Winnipeg as the Winnipeg Municipal Hospital. The hospital consisted of two buildings called the King Edward Memorial Hospital which was built  and the King George Hospital built. The Princess Elizabeth Hospital was added as the first long-term care facility in Canada.
The first purpose-built Geriatric Day Hospital was opened as an outpatient rehabilitation center for seniors. It was named after the late MLA and City of Winnipeg Mayor Robert Ashley Steen. the facility separated from the City of Winnipeg and became incorporated as a community hospital, changing its name to Riverview Health Centre.
The Municipal Hospital buildings were demolished, with the exception of a renovation of the Princess Elizabeth, and a new complex was constructed. The new facility, following a delay due to the Flood of the Century.

Help patients with personal hygiene, dressing, bathing, and other daily tasks.
Perform basic health care services for patients including checking vital signs or administering prescription medication.
Help with general light housekeeping.
Make transportation arrangements as needed.
Work with a nurse, personal care aide, a CNA, nurse aide, nursing assistant, and other caregivers and in-home care professionals.
Observe and report on patient condition.
Keep up with in-service training.
