Sherway Warehousing has been in operation for over 35 years after beginning operations in in Brampton, Ontario. Fifteen years later, Rock City Cartage began as a small local cartage company. A national retail chain with over 200 outlets across Canada needed a full service logistics provider to manage the distribution and invoicing of all goods being shipped to its stores.
A custom application was developed “in-house” to manage the client’s order and invoicing process. The application received its information through the client’s proprietary file format and automatically converted it into an EDI message that was fed directly to the Sherway Warehouse Management system.
